i believe that mr. thomas seems to have a cultivated 'gift' for concrete analysis. he weaves together conceptual subtleties with relevant data. and he left the vulgarity out any kind of vulgar marxism that i am familiar with. there is no determinism from the forces, the relations, the interactions between them, etc. the superstructures are alive and influential, without either elevating or relegating!! no essentialisms, no reductions, simply no vulgarity, save a few timely jabs at peoples, groups, and so on, who i think deserve those jabs. read and subscribe. today is my first day.
